Kusiło mnie, żeby na dzień dobry wyrazić zdziwienie, że jak to, TAKA kapela, a nie ma swojego tematu... doszedłem jednakowoż do wniosku, że waliłoby to hipokryzją, jako że o istnieniu tej załogi dowiedziałem się w zeszłym miesiącu. Wątek zakładam zatem nie po to, żeby się pochwalić, że znam, tylko żeby się ewentualnie czegoś dowiedzieć, bo tak się składa, że na razie słuchałem tylko czterech pierwszych płyt.
A co na tych płytach? Cóż, kapela powstała w 1979 i naparza rasowy heavy/US power metal. Serio urzekły mnie ich nagrania, bo jest to granie rozpierdalające energią, ale też i melodiami, bardzo kształtne są te ich kompozycje, na pewno nie z gatunku nieprzemyślanego zlepku fajnych i mniej fajnych riffów. Na płytach, które słuchałem, udziela się w dodatku zajebisty wokalista, nieżyjący już niestety Carl Albert. Znaczy - oprócz pierwszej, Soldiers Of The Night, gdzie śpiewa osobiście gitarzysta-założyciel, George Thorpe, który z tego co kojarzę wokalnie udzielał się i po śmierci Alberta.
Muza zajebiście skomponowana i zagrana, najlepszy strzał to chyba Digital Dictator, potem jedynka, dalej egzekfo trójka i czwórka, s/t i Welcome to the Ball.
Dalszych płyt nie znam, coś mi się obiło o gałki oczne, że słabsze i nowocześniejsze, prawda to? Warto sięgać po kolejne pozycje?
