[Haghi]

Zespół założony w hrabstwie Orange w Kalifornii. Grupę utworzył w roku 1984 roku wokalista Katon W. De Pena (grający poza Hirax w Phantasm, L.A Kaos oraz House of Suffering). Katon to jedyny członek zespołu, który jest w jego składzie od początku. Hirax dużo koncertował z zespołami takimi jak Slayer, Metallica czy Exodus, jednak pozostał mniej sławny niż one, ponieważ skupiał się bardziej na koncertowaniu, niż na wydawaniu płyt.

Banda ciekawa aczkolwiek dla mnie ich dokonania przechodzą raczej bez echa. Chociaż Immortal Legacy jest albumem przyswajalnym, który śmiało można słuchać po parę razy. Równo nagrany (tempo), bez zapychaczy czy innych wypełniaczy, no i wokal. Chyba najlepiej nagrany w całej karierze.

[Rattlehead]

Jakoś z Hirax nie bardzo mi po drodze. Mam ich trzy pierwsze albumy, ale rzadko goszczą w moim odtwarzaczu. W sumie nie wiem czemu bo szanuje pasję i zaangażowanie Katona, muzycznie też nie jest przecież jakoś bardzo źle. Mimo to zawsze był to dla mnie taki nieco zapomniany, stojący gdzieś na uboczu zespół.

Hirax zapowiedzieli nowy album zatytułowany „Faster Than Death” – nie określono jeszcze dokładnego terminu, kiedy ukaże się płyta.
