YAITW ended in late February 2018 after allegations of sexual assault that were supposedly committed by members of the band circulated the internet. The suspected crimes were first brought to light by a Detroit venue which the band had played, allegedly implicating unspecified members in three incidents dating back to 2014. Deathwish Inc. dropped the band immediately following and commented "predatory behavior and sexual assault is not and will not be tolerated in our music scene."

Despite splitting up, one final album titled Ride Off and Die was released independently in 2020, which was fully recorded the previous year before the split.
